Details

Unlock seamless and detailed multi-material printing with colorFabb PVOH — the ideal support material for overhangs, internal cavities, or suspended structures that standard supports cannot handle.

Key features:

  • Outstanding solubility: Dissolves quickly and cleanly in warm water, leaving minimal residue on your printed part.
  • Excellent compatibility: Works well with common materials such as PLA, PETG, and some nylons, providing reliable adhesion in dual-extrusion setups.
  • High dimensional accuracy: Produced by colorFabb in the Netherlands with tight tolerances for consistent feeding and print quality.
  • Easy storage and printing: Store in a dry environment. Use recommended print and purge settings to prevent stringing and ensure clean layer interfaces.

Technical notes:

  1. Dry the spool before use (about 70 °C for 1–2 hours) to improve extrusion stability.
  2. Use the correct filament diameter for your printer (1.75 mm or 2.85 mm).
  3. Recommended extruder temperature: 190–220 °C.
  4. Ensure good contact between the support interface and build material for proper adhesion.
  5. After printing, submerge the model in warm water (40–50 °C) and gently agitate or circulate water to speed up dissolution. Rinse and dry the final part.
  6. Use a dedicated extruder for support material if possible.
  7. Store spools in a dry box or sealed container when not in use.

Tips:

  1. Dry the spool before use (recommended ~ 70 °C for 1-2 h). Moisture can affect extrusion stability.
  2. Use correct filament diameter (e.g., 1.75 mm or 2.85 mm) as appropriate for your printer.
  3. Typical extruder temperature: around 190-220 °C.
  4. Ensure support interface layer (between build material and PVOH) prints at good contact for adhesion.
  5. After printing, submerge the model in warm water (~40-50 °C) and gently agitate or use a small pump to speed dissolution. Rinse and dry the final part.
  6. Use a dedicated extruder for support if possible (to avoid cross-contamination).
  7. Keep a dry box or sealed spool when idle to maintain filament quality.
