Users can decrease material flow by 60% to achieve lightweight parts, or use the expanding properties to effectively reduce print time by using big layer heights or single extra thick perimeters.

When I got this filament, I initially skipped the reccomended setup options from the "Learn How to Print With LW-PLA", that was definitely a mistake because I found that my printer hits maximum foaming at 215c@~30mm/s. At this I was able to consistently print dimensionally accurate parts with 40% flow rate.

This is awesome, because I am currently in the process of designing and printing my own R/C model glider airplane. The weight of this stuff is just incredible and I really do hope that Colorfabb continues to manufacture this product.

I have a hard time taking the stuff out of my printer and printing regular PLA now.

Give this a try, your 750g roll of LW-PLA is like a regular roll of 1.8kg of filament which is almost a better deal than most very cheap PLA's.

For those interested in printing RC aircraft
I've started a thread over at the Flite Test forums.

So far I really like this stuff! At a one to one comparison to PLA it really is about half the weight! And layer lines just disappear!

With two shells it's still 2/3rds the weight of PLA and a LOT stiffer (What I use for control surfaces.)

The BEST filament ever!
This filament is simply awesome. Well done, Colorfabb!
Now for the review: I can talk about my first experience with this LP-PLA NATURAL and it took like 3 little test prints to find my sweet spot.
You can expect different behavior from PLA when printing, it gets out of the nozzle very pulpy, like whipped cream, so you need to make your workaround to keep it in place.
The prints simply get like 1/3 to 1/4 of normal PLA weight if you require. You can give it more weight and consistency increasing the flow rate or lowering the temperature.
I've printed at 27% flow, 47mm/s at 240º with a 0.6 nozzle at a 0.5 layer height.
The print gets this paper-like texture and feels like it. It is a wormer and dull natural look. Very pleasing.
It was a big project and it worked like a charm. Impossible to make without this filament. Five stars!

Super light and easy to print with.
After some testing I can say that this is impressive material. It's easy to print with. It oozes some but that's not a big deal. I get 60% reduced weight at the same thickness as PLA at 250°C. The printed part is more elastic than PLA. Similar to ABS, if not a little more elastic, so it should be more impact resistant. Layer adhesion is outstanding.

Excellent diameter tolerance
An important machine in our production are the laser measurement systems used to check the diameter of our filament real time during production. It’s measured over 1000 times per second and helps us guarantee that each spool of colorFabb 3d printing filament produced within tolerance. We can guarantee 0,05mm +/- on both 2,85mm and 1,75mm colorFabb 3d printing filament, which means you can rest assured that your printer is extruding the exact amount of material.

Within minutes of production a spool of colorFabb 3d printing filament is sealed airtight with a double barrier foil. To go the extra mile, we’ll also seal the fancy cardboard box that we use to ship our product. You can make sure colorFabb 3d printing filament is fresh and ready for 3d printing when you’re done unboxing.
